This is a competitively priced Cuisinart frozen-yogurt/ice cream maker. There are newer and more costly models, but this one does just about anything you want from such a machine. It has the double insulated freezer bowl which you either hate or love. I love it, although I DO have to remember to freeze it first to have ice cream later. That’s okay with me – because – perhaps – I eat more ice cream than I should. Cuisinart states it that make about a quart and a half, and that sounds like what I get out of a recipe.
It has a nice big ingredient spout to easily add goodness into your fine concoction, and you’ll be able to whip up a batch of your fave in 20 minutes, or even less; not as fast as electric models, true – and that’s the trade-out.
The lid locks easily, and the heavy-ish base sits on rubber feet. So rest assured that the only thing escaping into the kitchen from this maker are your (or your kid’s or your friend’s) spoons, while their associated tongues are saying, “mmmmmmmm.”
