I have bought two of these over the year. The first one about six or seven years ago and the other about a year when I started making cheese. The reason for having two is I like having one that I can keep with all of my cheese making supplies so everything I need is altogether in one spot. So, back to the one I have had for the last six or seven years, this is what I can tell you. It is supper fast on its reading, I have only had to calibrate three times, and the battery had yet to die on me. Really for $20 it can’t be bet. If you are looking to buy your first kitchen thermometer or replacing the one you have. You have got to give this one a try, you will not be disappointed.
